GREETINGS MY FELLOW EARTHLINGS!

I sincerely apologize for my absence. Do I have any excuses? Yes, a million. I worked through the holidays. I’ve had major word block. The world is literally on fire. etc. But I didn’t forget about you.

Beauty is the best distraction from chaos, if you ask me. I’m here to provide my 2025 beauty trend predictions beyond the PDRN of it all because real Devheads know I reported on it back in 2019.

Beans

Skincare will move on from milk and bring on the legumes—soybean, mung bean, black bean. They pack a bunch of benefits: hydration, smoothing, brightening, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory. They do it all. Don’t be grossed out—you’ve put weirder things on your face!!

Early Picks: mixsoon Bean Essence + beplain Mung Bean pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam

Lavender Blush

After the YSL lilac blush fiasco of 2024, brands are going to try to prove that lavender blush can work on all skin tones (and it can with the right base formulation). Lavender is a fun departure from all the pinks, berries, and corals out there while still giving you a natural-looking flush.

Early Picks: Huda Beauty Blush Filter in Ube Cream + Lilybyred Love Beam Blur Cheek in Blurry Lavender + Haus Labs Color Fuse Glassy Blush Balm Stick in Glassy Lilac

Soothing Acne Care

Western skincare brands will finally realize people with acne-prone skin want products that calm inflammation—not cause it. Think rich, soothing moisturizers, cooling serums, and ultra-gentle toners.

Early Pick: Personal Day Dive Deep Mevalonic Moisturizer
